I fixed the error that people were experiencing when trying to read a review from the Song Detail page. I forgot to hard code the beginning URL so it was redirecting to a kzion.com web page rather then a ldsmusicnews.com page.

I’d like to wish all KZION listeners a Happy Thanksgiving. I’m grateful for all the volunteers who have helped this past year and to all those who gave of their time, money and resources to help provide quality, value based music to listeners around the world.
KZION is a truly collaborative service that is fueled by its listeners. I could not do it by myself. I also truly appreciate the musicians, songwriters and singers who provide lyrics and music that soothes the soul, uplifts the spirit, and entertains us.
We’re entering a magical time of year and I hope that we can all be a little more focused on the life and mission of Christ. Maybe hearing that certain song on KZION will motivate us to be true to the holidays. I know that I will be trying harder this year then I did last year to come to know the baby Jesus and the man that child became.
Happy Thanksgiving my friends!

James still has a migraine headache. It’s been over 14 months now without any relief. A couple weeks ago we took him to an ear, nose, and throat specialist and he had James take a sleep test where he wore an instrument on his finger as he slept one night. The test results showed that he wasn’t getting enough oxygen while he sleeps so the EN&T doctor referred us to a sleep specialist.
Last week we met with the sleep doctor and he said that the sleep test didn’t show enough to think James has Sleep Apnea but after hearing James’ story and asking dozens of questions he revealed to us that his son has the very same symptoms. The doctors son had the migraine for three or four years and had to eventually drop out of high school. Finally his son was diagnosed with Narcolepsy. He said that most people associate Narcolepsy with the guy that falls asleep in his soup bowl but there are many facets of the disease.
James is going in for an overnite sleep study next week to make sure he is not suffering from Sleep Apnea and then will begin treatment for Narcolepsy. We are optimistically hopeful but have been down this “possible diagnosis” road many times in the past year and a half.
I’m not sure James can handle another let down so we hope and pray that his pain and suffering will soon be over.
I’ve been busily preparing KZION for broadcasting holiday music. Unfortunately it’s not as easy as flipping a few switches. It’s actually rather complicated to get the playlists to switch over to Christmas music and to allow Christmas music to be requested from the automated system. One of these days years I will get it all automated which will save me so much time. The other advantage to automate the playlist transition for the holidays is I won’t have to try to remember how to do it ![]()

This is cool. I found this article that was published back in November 2000 a month after KZION began streaming on the net. “The modest KZION Internet radio station started this past week may be the beginning of independent Internet for members of the LDS Church.”
There is also a boat load of other articles that Mormon News published about KZION up until they discontinued publishing in 2002.

In-Line spell check, that’s what I’m talkin’ bout! A Thunderbird extension that underlines misspelled words as you type into the compose window.
This Mozilla Thunderbird extension adds a menu item to delete mail marked as junk from the folder that you right click on. Optionally bypasses the Trash folder when deleting!
I’ve received some email from people wanting help with Mozilla Thunderbird. Most of the questions have been very basic and almost always I refer them to this basic tutorial which consists of nine articles that will get them set up and running Mozilla Thunderbird.
